Ximena Martínez is an animator and illustrator. She finished her studies on animation and illustration in Mexico City and London. She does many flat design creations and in my opinion, does them well. this one that gives off a patriotic trippy vibe is one. the overlap of the hair but not the hands and eyes, the use of color, lines, shape and lines to give texture to her dress are all ways to elevate flat design and I think this piece really works well with the other ones I have spoken on. The colors, the femininity, and crossing the simplicity line just enough really are the pieces I am drawn to.
